3D Secure is a mechanism that uses a smartphone for personal authentication to ensure safe and secure credit card transactions over the internet. It is promoted by international brands such as "VISA," "Mastercard," "JCB," "American Express," and "Diners Club." This global standard for personal authentication helps prevent unauthorized use and fraud, allowing for secure transactions. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry also requires all EC operators to introduce 3D Secure by the end of March 2025 and to transition to various authentication methods that comply with this, from "static (fixed) passwords" to "dynamic (one-time) passwords." Our company is also working to introduce this system as soon as possible to ensure that customers can use credit card payments with peace of mind.

Regarding Authentication Methods
Currently, OTP (One-Time Password) authentication is the mainstream for 3D Secure. However, depending on your card company, authentication may also be done using a pre-registered 3D Secure password. The procedures vary by card company, so please check with your card company in advance if you plan to use this service.
